The German tuning specialist Hamann has recently removed the wraps off of its latest creation, the new Typhoon which was based on the Mercedes G55 AMG. The Hamann Typhoon comes with 600hp (441kW) and 782 Nm (576lb-ft) of top torque provided by a high performing HM600 power package that consists of new powerplant electronics, a larger belt pulley set and a modified transmission with an integrated oil cooler. These figures produces an acceleration rate of 0-100km/h (62mph) in just 5.1 seconds and on to reach a maximum speed of 261km/h (162mph).
