Maybe a body simpler than a Jeep... more like an Ariel Atom?
Easy to clean and fix and very durable. The interior cabin can simply be protected by some sort of nut shell while the exterior panels are light plastic covers to direct air flow.
And as a result, tuning shouldn't be very hard.

Will be interesting to see what route they plan to take. Hybrid? Plug-in?

I can't imagine a plug-in that can be capable like other Hummer products simply due to the vulnerabilities of the battery pack.

There is probably a lot that can be done to lighten the average Hummer H2 & H3. It would advantageous to make the next-gen models a little smaller. But the new owner has plans to develop concepts for the H4. We don't know if it'll be Wrangler-like or Patriot-like.
