Volvo XC60 Chosen as Britain's Best Tow Vehicle

Where a gallon of gas costs $8/gallon, and "staycations" increasingly popular due to the current economic climate, it's amazing to see what camping enthusiasts use to tow their trailers...station wagons rather than half ton pickups. Britain's What Car? and Popular Caravan magazines have chosen the Volvo XC60 as 2009's best tow vehicle. Automotive Traveler looks into the rest of their selections that include a brace of under 2-liter vehicles (yes, you can tow a trailer with a FWD VW Golf) plus the Jaguar XF diesel, which unfortunately we probably won't see here in the US.
