Is this the next Lexus SC coupe/convertible?

I believe these are merely an artist's impression, but they look close to how the next SC will look. Basically it looks like the current SC interpreted with L-Finesse.

The back of the car looks awful, but it's a vast improvement on the current one, which looks like a high-riding pig. Overly-tall waist line, bulky proportions, ugly wheels and a tacky interior.

It's safe to say any replacement will be FAR better than the ugly pig on sale now.

I do think this is a great improvement over the Alien Egg ressemblance of a car the last SC was. Of course, that is not saying much.

Owning a 2005 Pebble Beach edition, and loving it, I suggest the following modifications: 1. Just integrate the existing spoiler into the trunk to make it seamless. 2. Add a back up camera to the navigation screen; 3. Let the rear view mirrors fold back when the car is locked a la mercedes; 4. Do away with the silly back seat headrests - perhaps integrate them into the sheet metal; 5. improve the LCDs on the instrument panel; 6. improve the run flat tires; 7. lose the exterior power antenna. But please, don't do anything too radical!

Now I don't know if you know anything about aesthetics, and I'm guessing you don't, but the SC interior is horrific.

It's the Japanese trying to be Jaguar, but failing. The over use of wood is worrying, like they are trying to grab attention away from the dated dashboard design.

The wood itself looks (and probably is) fake, and the whole ambience shouts try-hard.

Considering the front of the SC is ugly, which means the back is also ugly (because they look the same) they could at least have tried to make the interior respectable.

Instead, they catered for tacky ignorant old men like you who see wood and leather and wet themselves.

A real test would be to replace the wood with black plastic, and give it cloth seats.

Not looking so rosy now, is it?

Even the Top Gear team agree with me, they rekon the SC is the ugliest convertible in recent times, inside and out.

I pretty much like the design...but a study would be better than a sketch.

I have to say this car is overdone to the point it's ugly in the front side and rear.
