Koenigsegg wants to give Saab its 'Soul' back
A man named Baard Eker wants to give Saab its soul back. The Norwegian designer behind the bid for General Motors’ Saab says he wants to rejuvenate the “soul and spirit” of the profit-loosing Swedish brand. Eker, a Norwegian designer and entrepreneur bought a 45 percent stake in Koenigsegg in 2005 and currently owns 49 percent.

“Saab has to refine their quality level, their soul and spirit and we believe that this is something we can help with,” Eker told Reuters. ”The most interesting thing is that GM thinks the same.”

This is what Saab needs.

The company "lost its groove," after GM acquired.

this is exactly what saab needs i like them better than volvo. I think Koenigsegg is the right company that acquired them to take them to the next level to compete with at least infiniti or lexus or maybe even one of the big German 3 in the future

Saab has done some great things in the past. I've been hoping that someone would buy them that would let them be Saab again. I was remebering how cool the 900 S Turbo was back in the late '80s, that's what I would love to see happen again.

I bet you see some nice things from Saab in the future now. Koenigsegg first came to my eyes on a TV show where they showed the factory and the door opening technology plus the cars themselves were beautiful.

Maybe we see a nice rebirth of the Viggen and the Aero may mean more than chrome and HIDs.

Maybe Koenigsegg-Saab will be Lambo-Audi Version 2.0?

First car they shouold make is another remake of the old 9-3 hatchback. Those with a nice turbo. Never understood why they just abandoned them altogether.
