One of our favorite features on the 2007 S-class

I know I will be getting this on my 07 S-class...The absolutely gorgeous panoramic roof.

And the competition (7-series, A8, LS, Q, etc.) has NO answer to this!

What a mistake in our opinion...

And once again 001, your opinion is wrong and stupid. Wow, an extra whole 24" of open space on the top of the car. B/c that's really going to make the new S-Class overtake BMW, Audi, Lexus, Toyota, etc....

I feel you... i guess it will help to see the ground when the car flips over.

Yet the designed huge ugly arcs (like Ford models) around their wheels, they Bangle-ized the rear trunk (as is the new Lexus LS)... to name a few.

Sorry, your opinion is ... well, Your Opinion... and it seems is not shared by any here.

001,
You should take a look at the 2006 Audi A3 3.2...it has basically the same thing!

The 2007 "S" is going to be a major hit for Mercedes-Benz. The panoramic roof, improved night vision, second generation Distronic and enhanced engine performance will be icing on the cake. The only question is whether MB can repair their tarnished quality control image. If they are successful with the warranty issues, this will surely be the new benchmark of luxury vehicles.

I have never had a vehicle with a glass roof, can owners who have one comment on the following please:
(i.) Does it increase your chance of getting skin cancer?
(ii.) Does it make you feel more vulnerable when driving next to a "big rig"?
(iii.) Does it make the car feel dirty, because the clear roof really highlights water marks (from rain) and dust?
(iv.) On resale does a panoramic roof help or hurt the trade-in value
Depending on the answers to i-iv I may order my S Class with one too.
