Volkswagen Sees Strong Cash Flow In Q2: Funds Are Available For PorscheTo Tap
Volkswagen AG will have a "positive result" in the second quarter and would consider giving sports car maker Porsche a loan if asked, CFO Hans Dieter Poetsch said on Saturday.

We will surely end with a positive result," Poetsch told Reuters, referring to the second quarter.

"We've reduced volumes and inventories which is why we have a strong cash flow. In the second quarter we will continue on this path. Net liquidity will remain at a high level," he said on the sidelines of a conference in Bayreuth

Basically they are running a business as a business should "lean and mean" which means they will weather the storm better than those that have stockpiles to unload.

If there is such a "Strong Cash Flow", why is there a need for a $75 billion euro loan (£1.5bn)???.. Here's an interesting part of the article posted before this one...

*In recent days Porsche boss Wendelin Wiedeking has written to union boss Bertold Huber and VW Group chairman Ferdinand Piech, warning them not to discuss Porsche’s debt problems in public. Wiedeking is said to be fearful that Porsche could be refused the loan.*

Go Figure.....

Loans to Porsche should come with rules. Porsche doesn't interfere with VW/Audi/Lamborghini or any other brand. Porsche stops building competing products. And technology sharing goes both ways. I have yet to see Porsche lend technology to Audi/VW while taking at will.
