Formula One Reunites As Max Mosley Gets Forced Out

Formula One Reunites As Max Mosley Gets Forced Out

There will be a unified Formula One championship next year after Max Mosley was forced into a humiliating climbdown as president of the FIA. His influence as head of motor sport's world governing body is effectively over from today.

Formula One was facing the prospect of financial disaster after rebel teams last week threatened to form a breakaway series.

It quickly became apparent that Fota, the teams' association, was just as determined to oust Mosley from his position as to resist the severe cost-cutting measures that he attempted to impose on the sport.

Confirming what will be seen by most as a victory for the teams, Mosley said: "I will not be up for re-election now we have peace."

What about the Belgium Hookers that will be left out of work now? Talk about an industry hurting in this economy! It's sad!

True. 009 does this all the time.

I once posted the Clarkson BMW new 7-series article with the original title criticising the car. 009 blocked it and posted it on his own behalf, changing the title in the way it sugguested it was Clarkson fault no to see the new 7er "virtues".

Being an Internet-based German cars salesman and marketer is a hard job...

Stumpy,

FYI, the last time I looked, Quebec is in Canada and was one of the founding provinces of the country.

Should they have it in Toronto, with the most boring people in Canada?

Make everyone happy. Put it in Windsor/Detroit.

Well then Stumpy, you are misinformed, as usual. At lease we don't need the army to help us out when it snows.

Montreal's Gilles-Villeneuve circuit is the best place in Canada for F1.
Where could they go else, Mosport in the middle of nowhere or maybe that crappy temporary track in Toronto they used for the Molson Indy ?

Nah, Montreal is the best city too, plenty of car enthousiasts, good restaurants and nice womens.

Hopefully the Montreal Grand Prix will be back next year. Now if they could only fix that pavement issue...

Finally...a smart Formula One decision. This has great repercussions for even us in the normal car buying world.

This is a very good day for the car market in general...and we could use all the good news we can get especially in this current automotive economy.

unless they change the management of F1 for the better were not going to have anything useful come from F1. all the things like traction control, and other useful technology from F1 to be used on the street has been banned because of Mad Max. Now that he's stepped down lets hope they get someone in there that wants to introduce some useful technology.

Good riddance to Mosely. I shall not be happy, however, until that other little twerp Bernie Ecclestone goes as well. Two of the biggest assholes motor racing has ever seen.
