Rumor: Ford considers crew-cab F-150 SVT Raptor
The famous Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is one beefy truck with an aggressive styling, very tall ride height, and a large V8 powerplant in the engine bay guarantees that it stands out among the rest of its kind. However, there are now reports saying that Ford could be in the process of extending the F-150’s passenger compartment of provide it with a true four-door cabin.

This came about when Ford Motor Company received in excess of 1000 orders for the new pick-up truck which was followed by requests from buyers for a full crew-cab equipped with full-sized doors. A lengthened wheelbase would, however, certainly affect the off-road capabilities of the F-150. We’ll have to wait and see how Ford solves this one.

If this is too much for you buy a smooth riding Lexus, this is one of the first performance trucks,The Hummer H-2 & H-3 is all about marketing, this is more than a sticker package for the first time.

In a market like this you have to give buyers what they want, even if they are wrong in what they want.

The whole raptor thing is not making any sense. It my have the graphics but this truck will handle like a cow.

Actually with the Fox performance suspension with separate remote oil reservoirs on the expensive coil over set up makes the truck handle VERY well both On and Off Road.

Yes it will not handle better than a Lotus Elise but it shore will out handel your average Toyota Tundra, or even Camry for that mater.

Handle like a cow? This is not competing with Ferrari's on a race track, lets see how a sports car can handle a desert race . And what do graphics have to do with how well it may perform? Good engineering excites me, graphics are to impress the people that don't know anything about trucks.

Ford makes a pretty good truck, I just never cared for the body style. Buy the way to out handle a tundra does not take much effort.

This is all speculation. If the buzz "REALLY" builds then of course, Ford would be stupid not to build it. However, if it fizzles and dies like so many other fads nowadays then that's that.

With the longer wheel base it would be more stable at high speeds, unfortunately it will get hung up easier, I wouldn't buy one unless it had six seats, they could have three buckets in the front seat, When this comes out it will be the best truck out there, although I still think they could increase the wheel travel more, especially the rear suspension, and it should carry more weight than 800lbs, maybe long travel airbags when you are going to haul.
