Although the improvements are welcomed, I think the major fault with Audi's MMI is the way you have to scroll to each letter in order to enter in a destination.

It takes an eternity compared to touch screen rivals.

And the actual versions of the voice activations are amazing, in the Audis as well as in the Bimmers, I know both very good. They are actually so great, that you won´t ever use the buttons any more.

You start with pressing the button on the steering wheel, and if you don´t respond at all, the system will tell you the available options. On top of that (depending on the car and the optional equipments) it shows you the options for example in the new 7series in a little window on the speedo. And the recognition of Town and street names is unbelievable.

Really love the new versions.

Those are welcomed features. The touch screen would be nice, but i mean it really doesnt matter. Besides..if you have fat fingers, shaky hands or a dirty screen, your going to have to take time to get the correct letter on a touch screen anyway lol.

If you look at the NEW MMI 3G available on the Q5, and that will be available on the A8, A6, Q7 and A4, it is as good if not better than the idrive.
It even has a new Voice command.
