Beaten With An Ugly Stick? Arabic Site Claims to Have First 2010 Land Cruiser Shots
I certainly hope this is an offbeat camouflage attempt to cover the true underpinnings, but according to the Arabic translation this may actually be the 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser fully uncloaked.

Since the last update of the Land Cruiser was in 2007 we should expect this to simply be a facelift with little or no changes to the interior.

While the rear isn't too bad, I wonder just what was going through the designers mind on this one.

If you were in Africa you would, there are tons of them being used off road.

I'm not in Africa but I do spend alot of time off-road. You see Toyota trucks, 4runners, a variety of Jeeps and rental cars. You don't see the Lexus (GX) and the Land Cruiser(LX) of road in the U.S. so "poser".

I was in Africa (Southafrica) for over a year, and they do drive a lot of Toyotas, but not the Land cruiser. Their favourite is the Hilux: http://www.toyota.co.za/Models/viewrange.aspx?id=hilux

That was funny! This L/C is just a little better than a Subaru off road

Looks like it's the Toyota version of the next-generation Lexus GX, and now, I can understand why Lexus dealers have complained about the similarities between the LX and the next GX. (Somewhat good for GX hopefuls, but bad for the LX itself)

GM practiced that for decades.

I'd like my car to look good, and the reasons I like certain cars from certain brands in the first place is not really because of how capable they are but how good they look.

Sure it's a new Land Cruiser
only it's not intended for North America

Here is the current Euro Land Cruiser

Since I'm arab, I will translate the article to English:

" Today I bring you pictures of the 2010 Toyota Prado from " Abu Jameel" Studios. It has many modifications like a front and a back camera and two screens. It also has a new modified interior design and many other specifications. ( I prefer the original design ) I will leave you with the pictures.

This is the front fascia with the obvious modifications/changes:

And this is the rear end with the obvious modifications/changes:

I would like to hear your opinions. "

Hope this made it clear... this is not the 2010 Land Cruiser. Since when did Toyota restyle a new model after just 2 years?!

I believe the Land Cruiser Prado is the Lexus GX for North America, in which this case looks like it would be the next GX, but Lexus changes the grills and slight other fascia changes so we probably won't see the GX look like this

this the prado not the flagship not the toyota version of lexus LX so indeed this the toyota version of GX lexus GX which is nown at the middle east as land cruised prado. the gentlman says he took these pictures at toyota agent in Saudi Arabia. the important paice of information is the the carry the warranty label which means its ready for sale he also said that the name of the car :land cruiser prado" is clearly writen on the lower fron bumber however in you look at the back you will see no sign about the name.

If this is, then the only thing I can think is that they (Toyota) have REALLY lost their way in the case of designs. The Corolla is becoming like the 911 (that itself may not be a bad thing) and the designs are pretty much the same....the Camry...O God....It looks like a kit car from the front & as if something is incomplete.....and the C pillar region is a lot like the last one... Avalon is Ok...interior is good.keep away from the wood........The SUV's are terrible in the front...Highlander, 4Runner, all of them......Sienna van is fantastic....LOVE IT....Interior is GREAT and Exterior is sleek for a van (i would not feel bad driving that van...its nice...)...that 2-tone dashboard thing in the Tundra and Sequoia (I think)...what on earth is that?.....the next camry better be good....there is increasing competition in this sector and if the GM and Chrysler debacle has shown anything....customer loyalty cannot be taken for granted...and if they are unhappy and leave...there are other places for them to go and shop....from what I understand...even the reliability is suffering a bit. But I guess if the cars are selling well....they have no reason to worry. They are still at the top.

This might be the all new for 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV. Will get more luxury, differnet set of head and tail lamps and Lexus GX badge in US. The current Prado debuted in 2003 so a new one is very near and these pictures can be very close.
I like the front end, looks like smaller version of Land Cruiser but rear needs a lot of improvement.

Im positive that this is not the new Land Cruiser. I work for Toyota and we are always informed of upcoming cars or any updates to the excisting cars well over a year in advance. Yeah the one in the picture about looks horrible!

This is the Toyota Prado, which has been getting a beating with the ugly stick for a very long time. It actually makes the Land Cruiser - an excellent but not very elegant looking vehicle - look pretty.

They must have consulted with Acura's designers on the front grill. This looks like crap. Hope we don't see it here.

Ugly is ok as long as it performs, I would love this suv, but I would rather have a bare bones 4x4 solid axle version with two selectable lockers bigger tires and a Baja race suspension with lots of suspension flex, The purist will get it, and then everyone else will buy it just because.
