Mercedes-Benz denies any plans with Toyota
Yesterday, some rumors appeared regarding a possible cooperation between Mercedes-Benz and Toyota which involved sharing the A- and B-Class platforms. The possible cooperation suggested also a cooperation that involved developing both the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the Lexus LS flagship sedans. But, like all the rumors this was also denied by Toyota but also by Mercedes-Benz.

Toyota is in some serious trouble and there is more and more evidence that they will be overtaken by Volkswagen in the next years concerning sales numbers. They have to look out for new partners to reduce costs and share platforms. The rumors are based on an article in the magazine Auto, Motor & Sport. The people there are normally very well informed...

Oh my god, that is definitly a rumour or a late Aprils fools joke.

On the other hand, the planned cooperation with BMW could be a success.
