Rumor: Volkswagen Up! city car to cost around €9000
VW will be making a sizeable profit on each model sold of its soon-to-be-released city car, the Up!, according to Autocar sources. The Up! is being marketed as an alternative to the Peugeot 107, Citroen C1, and Toyota Aygo.

Around 1.4 million units, including the VW Up! and Skoda and Seat variants, are expected to be manufactured this year. The 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show was the venue that first displayed the Up!.
