Buick LaCrosse to get hybrid option as early as next year
GM confirmed last month that it will offer a new direct-injected Ecotec 2.4L 4-cylinder engine in the 2010 Buick LaCrosse sedan. Alongside the two V6 options, the Ecotec 4-cylinder will allow the driver to average an estimated fuel-economy of 20/30 mpg (city/highway).

I'm thinking this is very conservative, plus this is for the base ecotec 4 cyl. engine. The Malibu and Aura "mild hybrid" did around this figure but were weak sellers so why make the same mistake twice. I'm sure the hybrid will be best in class competing with the Fusion hybrid.

the 20/30 mpg rating is for the 4cyl model not the hybrid.

I'm not a big fan of hybrids, but the LaCrosse in general is a car I really dig. I haven't been this interested in a car since the Enclave. As soon as I can, I'm gonna see if I can get my tail in one.
