Its actually known as 086A in homage to the old AE86 - lightweight, rwd sporty car.

the subaru version is said to have an STI version i read on another site. and the toyota should be regular and maybe a TRD version. I don't think it will come with the flat 6 but the boxer 4 turbocharged on the STI version, and i'm not sure how the toyota version will fare with engines.

As long as it's not FWD.

That would make for a good Camaro competitor.

Yawn ... Driving a Toyboata is as exciting as watching mold grow on bread. I'd take a 370Z over any Toyboata any day of the week.

I think what Toyota is doing is going back to first principles. I was young at the time, but the original Supra was actually called Celica Supra which was basically a Celica with an I6 instead of the regular I4. Now, could they be planning a similar strategy as Hyundai is using with the Genesis Coupe? An I4 with a turbocharger or supercharger and a fairly large V6 on the top end? Now wouldn't that be a nice matchup? Hyundai vs Toyota. The last time I actually saw that happen the Hyundai came out ahead (C&D, March 2008).

Toyota is gonna launch 2 cars the toyobaru and the supra. One with a 200bhp flat4 and the other with a 400bhp hybrid v6 combo.

Tango quit faking you know you are a Toyota hater. What's with this "at the time you were young". How about this one..."Now would'nt that be a nice matchup"? Hyundai vs Toyota. Irregardless, Hyundai is and will always be a generic brand when compared to any Toyota from the past present or future...."Now that's just the way it is"!

Anything, even Hyundai, is nowhere near as generic as Toyota. They dont make any performance cars. Hell, they dont even make any SPORTY cars. At least Hyundai has the Genesis.

Ill be a Toyota hater until they make something that people actually want to drive, and im not talking 55 yr old blue hairs.

No Obliv! You'll be forced to become a Toyota lover by overwhelming influence, image, word of mouth, TV commercials, consumer can't beat'em join'em satisfaction and Toyota's world wide contributions and global dominance. One more thing...It takes more than sports cars to stay at the top and now that they have shown the world they can retain the crown with out'em....Here comes the Awesome LF-A supercar to trump all unbelievers.
