Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing Slowly Unveiling Itself

New details and images of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing has arrived. The new model is expected at the Frankfurt Motor Show where it will feature a price of €150,000. The SLS Gullwing will be as modern as possible and it will have a roof-hinged door set that was last used on the 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL.

Designer Hartmut Sinkwitz, formerly in charge of design at Smart, said “The proportions should be consistent,”

The aero plane inspired SLS AMG was designed with new technologies and other features built in to the inside for maximum luxury and efficiency. The model is not a stripped out supercar and in fact it is completely opposite to this.

I am excited for this car, I just really really hope it looks better then that god awful stirling moss death trap with the exposed screws on the dash and plad coloured seats.

That AC control unit is awsome and easy to use. It is a great design. Just because its in a C class does not cheapen it. Hello BMW does the same thing. I would rather have this than have to use a touch screen or monitor interface like some other companies

Say hi to the Toyota Landcruiser seat controls in the LS from me, Mitchell.

Why is it an automatic?

Because Benz doesn't know how to make a manual... it isn't in their company philosophy to provide it.

Landcruiser and Lexus LS are closer in price. Here there is a huge difference between price of C and this upcoming SLS. and also C class is a mass produced car and SLS is supposed to an exclusive limited edition Supercar. I too think the stereo and AC controls should have been different and SLS should have had it's own exclusive interior like the putgoing SLR. Also the five buttons next to gearlever are straight out of all new E63 AMG.

I sure hope there is a screen located someplace else on this vehicle. The assumption that Sat Nav is to be an Extra Cost Option would be madness in a 150k Euro Vehicle.

Also the system shown in the Pic is standard C200 issue and has no place in the Gullwing.
