Opposites Attract: Toyota and Aston Martin Come Together
Believe it or not, but the next Aston Martin might very well be a Toyota iQ. The Aston Martin Cygnet City Car wont be available to the general public, instead it’ll only be offered to existing Aston Martin owners with a DB9, DBS or Vantage.

It’s unclear what exactly it is that Aston Martin is trying to achieve but it’s very possible that this whole mini car business is a gimmick for the supercar producer to appease increasingly stringent emission standards in Europe with a token grocery getter. It’s also entirely possible that the Cygnet city car’s a serious effort by Aston Martin to move away from supercars. But I doubt that.

"Never forget this"!. Toyota has a great respect for exotic brands and major brands are influenced greatly by Toyota Motor Corp. What great Corp of any kind would'nt want to have a chance to collaborate with a phenomenon like Toyota? "Come on guys this is a no brainer"! Alright now let the haters come forth.

"it’ll only be offered to existing Aston Martin owners with a DB9, DBS or Vantage."

do they mean, buy an aston and get aston iq free? Seems funny or are they making fun of Toyota?

Read through, again.

It seems that they will offer them for approximately $32k to Aston owners.

If I were buying an Aston I would buy as many as I could... simply to turn around and sell them... at that price, with that branding, and that exclusivity I bet you could get a good $60,000 off your Aston for every one you can get your hands on.

not to forget, the engines of choice for Lotus is TOYOTA power! the corolla (YES) 1.8 in the Elise, and now the camry v6 for the new Evora.

both are only lightly tuned by lotus, as they crank out decent power as provided by toyota. (unfortunately, the corolla high output engine is no longer offered by toyota.)

from a review of the new Evora, "Who would've ever suspected that Camry owners could have such fun!" (after wringing out the v6.)
