Breaking away from the traditional mold is the Jaguar XJ, which just launched its most daring saloon in 40 years. The new XJ flagship is decidedly different from the look introduced by Sir William Lyons in 1968 that had been used for at least five iterations since.

Instead, the XJ flagship extends and emphasizes the design themes of the XF saloon. Revealed at London’s Saatchi Gallery, the car was met by a celebrity-packed audience. Jaguar said that the car’s key mission is to shore up its crumbling foothold in the luxury saloon sector, a presence which despite the well recognized road ability and technical excellence of the outgoing model, has been in decline for years.

Beautiful !!!! I only wish I were in the market for one of these. The best interior I've seen in years on a new model. Well done.

The car looks promising, but I'm afraid it's still going to be plagued by a low resale value, at least for a few years, keeping many potential buyers away.

looks great. I am sure it will be at a nice price point too, relative to the market. I will take an XJ-R please!

This car is as sexy as a big car can get. I only have one issue with this car, the C pillar. If it can be painted to match the body color it would be perfect.
