Report: 2010 Lexus HS250h orders triple than expected
The 2010 Lexus HS250h will soon arrive on US shores and if Japan sales reports are any indication, this hybrid sedan should prove to surpass all expectations. Numerous orders have been received but the HS 250h will only arrive later this summer, both in Japan and in the US. In Japan, sales have been recorded to be triple to that of monthly expectations. Some believe that a portion of the HS sales could be due to the decision to push back the delivery of the new 2010 Toyota Prius by 8 months.

Duh, say you expect to sell 1, then get orders for 100, then you get 100 times of what you "expected". Pure marketing scheme used to trap those IQ disabled.

Yeah, as Mitchell said in another post, Lexus is trying to "lure" BMW customers ..

Wait until they drive one, they'll be wondering why they spent so much on it.

Yes, at Pelican Hill, when 001 posted the test drive along with the IS-C. The HS is a nice car with many neat features not available in other hybrids, but in my opinion, it's overpriced. Lexus did however do a good job on the fit and finish and it will sell, just not to me.

It's a Lexus. Lexus is a luxury brand. Luxury brands charge premiums. Customers pay premiums for luxury cars. Did I lose you yet?

Another home run by Lexus!

Lexus should have entered in this year's Home run derby

this car will be a huge hit. But if Lexus had made it good looking, it'd be an even bigger hit

It will sell based on what it gives to the driver and environment in terms of luxury, technology, and the latest in clean motoring. It will not sell on its looks, and lexus knows that, which is why they packed it with so much stuff

what, exactly, does it "give" the driver?

Yes. Brainwashed Americans are responsible for all the world's problems. Lexus is an international brand. Deal with it.

LexusKindaGuy12, You're an imposter! Besides you're just a guy that kinda like Lexus because they're the best but you kinda hate this whole idea having the kinda success they're having because fact is deep down inside you really despise them and can't really afford them...is that it come on be real because you sound like a wanabe Lexus kinda guy.

lol what? I speak from objectivity. when something is ugly, im not going to say its the best looking car in the world. As a (luxury) car enthusiast, my name just suggest that i lean towards lexus cars. Though it is none of your business, my first lexus was an RX300, now i have an RX330 and IS300 in the garage, but my latest new car is a Benz C350. I am also an active member on Clublexus.com/forums

This is actually the Toyota Avensis currently being sold in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Well...looks like a 40-grand hybrid isn't such a dumb idea after all. Let's have the Volt, shall we?

Oh, btw...the Avensis is sold all over Central and South America as well. Only Mexico, US and Canada don't get it.

LexuskindaGuy12, "Yeah..I'm sure of it..You lack genuine passion. You're just kinda like Lexus...Lexus keeps you neutral amongst your peers. The LF-A does have objective areas on it. Tell me what those areas are? Hint; "the eyes have hills" is to the LF-A has - g----- r--- -----s. If you can guest these 0bjectives they will prove only that the car as a whole is not ugly, as you have suggested, but rather it has been articulately and passionately intergrated with the concept of "Beauty and the Beast" (L-Finese Philosophy/High Reving Formula 1 V10 technology). If you are a true Lexus enthusiast you would no doubt understand where I'm coming from. Do you copy?

Even if we are talking about the HS250h you are now challenged by the LF-A riddle.

Lexus is good at captializing on the whole hybrid image, even though their hybrids are pretty subpar (ls600hl anyone?)

This car will be a success, but for all the wrong reasons.

no surprise.
hybrid image always wins over substance.
there are dozens of non-hybrid cars that blow this car away with mileage.
