Bmw might build the M1
Plans for a BMW M7 have been dropped due to the costs involved, BMW’s M division boss, Kay Segler, tells Automotive News. Segler added, “We’ve looked at that [BMW M7] and decided not to do it…The 760 with all-wheel drive is a very strong offering. The M sales would be too small for our total investment.”

However, he did not rule out an M version of the 1-series. Last year, BMW sold 24,186 M models worldwide, which it hopes to surpass this year with September’s launch of the BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M. On the potential of the BMW M1, Segler said, “Give me a year or so to look into the 1-series.” But Segler ruled out a BMW X1 M. “You need an entry into M price-wise…but whether we can do that economically has to be determined.

That would be incredible. I currently own a 2009 BMW 135 coupe with the M Sport Package, which is the best option package for the coupe. After having the 1-series for the past couple of months, in the 8 BMW's I have owned, it is dynamically the best BMW I have ever had. The car is amazing. I replaced my 2008 BMW 535i Sport package with the Sport Auto Transmission for this car.

I think a M1 would be awesome.

BMW will give you all those, just write a check for $100k or buy a competitors offering which will normally include all those for free.

Owning a 1 series convertible, in white, 135i, I think I would go for a 1 series M version, if it would be a convertible. The 135i is already unbelievable, can´t imagine what a 1 series M could do ...

But, don´t call it M1, due to hitory, this is related to a total differnt car.

Most probably it will be a 135iM, as stated above.
