Another One Bites The Dust: Alfa Romeo Mito GTA canned

Hot hatch fans were dismayed as Alfa Romeo announced plans to put production of the MiTo GTA on hold. Shown in Geneva last March, the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA Concept was supposed to go on sale for €23,000 before the year ends. However, Alfa Romeo’s spokeswoman said that it has become difficult to justify building a high performance car in light of the financial crisis.

Its not really disappointing. You can at least buy the base car and some aftermarket company will supply similar parts. This would be a better idea for Alfa as they do not have to guess how many GTA spec models they should make per year.
