It shouldn't be too hard to believe. They already used a GT3 racer for the Nurburgring... I think.
I read somewhere that AWD is a nono for GT3. Anyone care to explain why? Is it just the regulations?

Audi produces RWD race cars for different segments- here is a RWD A4 for DTM racing- it would not be uncommon at all for them to produce a RWD instead of a Quattro.
