3 New BMWs caught testing in United Arab Emirates
Today i saw three new BMWs testing in Alain city of Abu dhabi, UAE.
A 5 series GT, a heavily camouflaged all new 5 series sedan and an upcoming variant of new 7 series, i think most likely it was 760Li Gulf Specification.

Other things which i noticed were that 5 series sedan had a complete interior and it looked very similar to 5 GT interior we have already seen now. Due to lot of traffic and me leaving for Dubai, i couldn't take more photos.

I lived in out in El Paso, TX for a little bit. The day temps would get above 100 degrees easily, but because of low humidity, you don't really sweat or get that hot feeling(until you get into your car)....but you'll get a sunburn in a about 20 minutes. However, at night, you knew it was cold. Me and some buddies thought it'd be cool to go drinking out in the desert late one night.....that lasted about 15 minutes. Talk about freaking cold.

yes genius, this is the first turbo engine the dumb engineers at bmw decided to unleash at a desert/hot region. they should hire more geniuses like you and get proper testing advice.

idiot...

In daytime at this time of year the dessert of California, Nevada and Arizona are pretty hot, at night they are stil hot. I have been in the USA for 4 times at that area, and last year the nights in Nevada dessert or California never went below 28 degres celcius I guess it is around in the high 80s fahrenheit.

At winter times BMW got their own garage near a Swedish lake so they test both heat and cold.

At the operating temps cars function at, how is the desert supposed to cause problems? We're not talking about the surface of Mercury here.

Why would you not want to test them in a condition that would cause them to fail that way you can fix it before shipping the car to the masses?

You do realize that there other places in the world that people like to drive their BMW other then Sweden.

Unfortunately the 5 GT looked just like in photos. It looked very weird from the rear. X6 looks a lot better than it.

Really liking those large LED strips of taillights. They really make the cars pop at night.

The pictures i posted above had lot more resolution, then why are they appearing so small? and also picture quality has decreased.
Also would love to see your usual galleries in higher resolution like 1280 by 800.

I know I'm in the minority, but I think I really like the GT. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person. I'm one of those family guys who still value performance in my family vehicle. Don't get me wrong, I would never drive recklessly with the family in the car, but when its just me, it would be nice to have a little fun. Besides, I can't afford more than one vehicle for myself, so I need to find something well rounded.

I think we all fall into that same niche. most guys on here wont admit it but if i did a CTS-V, M5, or whatever i would not be wasting my time on here talking to you guys.
