Nissan shows its electric vehicle EV platform
Nissan’s all-new electric car based on a Tiida-based prototype will be unveiled this Sunday. Before a mass roll-out in 2012, the EV will go on sale in Japan in 2010 and in the UK in 2011. Nissan’s self-developed electric motor delivers 107bhp and 206lb ft of torque. Powering the EV is a 24kWh laminated compact lithium ion battery pack that’s tucked under the floor ensuring that your cabin or cargo space isn’t limited.

Reducing drag is a battery layout that allows smooth underfloor air flow. A regenerative brake system recharges the battery during deceleration and braking, helping the car achieve a range of just under 100 miles on a full charge. Nissan claims that since its battery is housed in a frame, the car’s rigidity is boosted. It also minimizes vibration and improves the car’s handling. Get a load of the car’s sophisticated IT system that shows how far drivers can get on the current charge via the sat-nav and also provides the locations of charging stations.

Well then...show much for that Chev Volt p.o.s....to become the "next big thing". GM should really consider to changing their name from General Motors to Guinnea Pig Motors!...Lmao!!! Advance Technology is in the Japanese blood...tough to beat or even out do in this day and age.
