Porsche Hybrid 911 Caught Undergoing Testing

Porsche Hybrid 911 Caught Undergoing Testing
Is Porsche going Hybrid on the next generation 911?

Well, it almost looks like that when we see these photos ofa current Porsche 911 Carrera convertible with a strange bulge on the front hood. And on top of it all, the bulge is even marked with a flash. And like on every other Porsche prototype, there are no Porsche stickers on the car. But the guys are still showing some humor with the Batman sticker on the hood.

The photographer reported that the car was very quiet when he first noticed the car coming out from a parking place and that was the thing that made him look again. Then he noticed the bulge and followed, the Porsche guys didn’t like that at all, and when they noticed his camera they took off at a pace he couldn’t follow.

No need for sarcasm :)

The Germans are leaders in many fronts but Toyota implemented that technology into a mass scale by putting the hybrids in models throughout their range. Honda has it too and many others are joining. However, I think it was a German who created the first hybrid. Correct me if I am wrong though. Somebody check Google for me.

I'll be happy if a hybrid Porsche 911 can reach 0-60 in under 5 seconds. That's still lightning fast in the hybrid community. For sure it won't reach the 3.7-3.9 like the extremely fast GT2/TT flagships of the range.

If everyone cared about this, then how will the number of people caring grow? What StarSearch is wondering is that Porsche's 911 target demographic are people who want a sports car where money isn't an issue. When money isn't an issue, you really don't care if you get an extra 5-10mpg and they wouldn't be buying a performance car in the first place if they thought the world was doomed if everyone doesn't start driving "green" like you seem to think.

Porsche cares deeply......that their products are seen as only appealing to socially irresponsible "flat earth buyers." It's a bad brand management.

Look what happened to "Hummer" when they became known as the official car of the oil cartels.

I'd love to have a Porsche that didn't require that I tithe to OPEC.

Sure they are Mitchel. They are also the best at producing three dimensional cameras. Man those Krauts at Fuji film are at pioneers in the technological field.
