As to your question of it being a Stud or Dud, IMHO, it's a Dud. But I don't see much of the 7-series in it either.

It is just there. Where does the 7 Series or BMW for that matter show up anywhere in this design? It is more old Nissan than Bavarian.

If a Altima banged a Golf,this would be the child.It looks somewhat like a 7 series from the back door to the back tailight (overall shape) in the side pics,but not enough to call it a smaller 7 series.

I don't see any 7 series similaritires. If have seen the Suzuki SX4 sedan, than you would clearly see similarities. It's ugly but looks like bigger SX4.

Suzuki have a TV commercial that compares one of their pieces of junk with a Mini Cooper.

Nope. No 7 series here. But as I've said before. SO FRIGGING WHAT?!? Every car has a touch of something else in it. It boils down to if you like the car or not. Many here don't. The truth is that many here would perhaps consider it when the price is announced and they see it in person a few times. I've owned a Suzuki and hated it, but that was a long time ago. I'd consider it again because times are always changing.

What idiot thought that this looks like a 7 Series. It looks nothing like one! And I have one in my garage at the moment!

I agree with the responses saying it looks like a Jetta, but I think calling it a 7er is a bit farfetched.
