BMW To Debut M1 Green Super Car Concept At Frankfurt Motor Show

BMW To Debut M1 Green Super Car Concept At Frankfurt Motor Show
Along with the shock announcement that BMW is quitting F1 after the 2009 season, the automaker also announced a new focus on "sustainability and environmental compatibility". This doesn’t mean that BMW’s future model range will be limited to unexciting fuel misers. Nothing could be further from the truth as the automaker will reportedly showcase a new sustainable sports car concept at this September’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

Late last year a high ranking insider revealed that BMW was working on a “green” super-sports car based along the lines of the M1 Homage concept. BMW development board member Dr Klaus Draeger has now revealed to AutoTelegraaf that the company is planning to unveil a sustainable sports car concept at the upcoming Frankfurt event.

I have no interests in BMW being in Formula 1 or not, I just want to know when BMW will decide it's the right time to put some real effort in solving the jerky automatic transmission problems on my 2007 X3. Other than telling me it's supposed to be that way.

Oh man, I have to look at the squashed-tuna-can-trio again? ugly.

and just like the 7series "hybrid" with whopping 10-15% fuel savings, it's goin' to be all about "looking green" without anyway being green.

When I was working the auto show, some of the reps for BMW had said they have been offered or $1 million for this vehicle. Just for the shell! Apparantly, the original had no interior and that is why the windows are so dark. theres some crazy people out there.

Too bad most of the actual tests of the car showed that your fancy Toyota failed miserably to prove that claim.
