Is Audi Preparing a Zero Emission R8 For A Frankfurt Debut?

Audi will present in Frankfurt the R8 EPerformance, an electric concept based on the sport R8. Despite recent denials, it seems that Audi is ready to unveil the car, which is a concept. This is an important step, now that Mercedes has formalized the future SLS Electrical and BMW has just announced a low-emission Sports.

There are no details of the R8 EPerformance just yet, but Fench Automobile Magazine sources indicate: The air vents are closed to give improved aerodynamics, the color will be white which is currently not an option on production cars.

Could the be a zero emission version of the R8?

There's nothing wrong with Audi thinking of such an idea. It'll shut those people up in Germany about those damn emissions. There are more important things to worry about in this world. World War III :) Let the general public enjoy these super cars. It's not like the many people will own super cars it's the elite anyways, I don't know what the fuss is about.
