Chrysler looking for approval to sue Daimler

Chrysler is once again the focus of a case in front of bankruptcy court judge, Arthur Gonzalez. A hearing has been scheduled by Gonzalez for Aug 13, on the request of certain creditors of Chrysler’s, who seek to sue Daimler AG. The group of creditors claims that Daimler’s 2007 sale of the company to Cerberus Capital Management had stripped it of its most valuable assets.

“This is completely without merit and we intend to defend ourselves vigorously,” Daimler spokesman Han Tjan told Reuters.

Interesting turn of events... it would be even more interesting if in 10 years time Chrysler became known as the company that destroyed Daimler.

Ive been watching this story since the takeover. They have a good case. The reason Diamler let its 19.8% stake go was due to a lawsuit from Cerebus for deceptive information from Diamler. Diamler new it would lose.

Overpriced crap? what's with all the hatred on Daimler? Try out a Mercedes and tell me they are crap. While I also am a proud owner of a Lexus, globally they still are way behind but can momentum gradually but will probably not gain the world renowned status of a MB any time soon, decades probably, but they're a good company, at least in the mid-range to high. As for Infiniti they are a decade behind. It doesn't matter if they make a GT-R based luxury sedan and whatever you dream about, Infiniti is not a top tier brand sorry. I'm not a fan of rebadged "luxury" cars. As much as I like the M45, it's outdated and needs a huge improvment to contend with the GS so for now the Fuga and the 370GT Skyline can kiss my behind. If i want a Nissan i'll go get myself a GT-R or a 370Z, at least their being real.
