Ford Goes On The Offensive - Plans To Refreshen Up To 90% Of Line Up By 2012
Ford Motor Co.'s chief financial officer Lewis Booth said the company plans to refresh 70 to 90 percent of its vehicle lineups by volume in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Africa by 2012.

"In the worst of economic times, we are taking the actions necessary not only to strengthen Ford's business but also to deliver world-class levels of product freshness globally," Booth said.

Booth told reporters that vehicles are like doughnuts -- they don't get better with age. "We're going to have fresh products," Booth said. "I don't know -- what's the world's best doughnut? (The vehicles) are going to be the Krispy Kremes of the world."

I thought the Flex was cool. Then again, I'm one of the few, if any, on this site that likes big mega-ton SUVs.

I like full sized suv's, the road dominating presence the ample room and comfort and the ability to see over everyone else makes them amazing vehicles to drive. But the flex... is a box with stream lines... they took the horrendous styling off of the sebrings hood and plastered it down the side. I'd rather drive a scion xB... and I hate that car!

The Flex is fine. Different strokes, it sells then fine.

The Crown Vic seriously needs to be modernized. Not just an upgrade but a serious redesign.

Crown Vix needs a stake through the heart.

How you keep your job writing here is beyond me, 009. Is English your second language? Not only do we have to read to your misinformed opinions and asinine discussion topics, but you must insist on butchering our language now also? It is amazing to me that all your job requires of you is to regurgitate links you find on the web, yet somehow you manage to screw that up. The sad thing is that you are not the only one. You and your ilk have rung the death knell of real reporting.

I agree wholeheartedly. It seems these days that, just because one is posting on an unmonitored website, it is suddenly alright to butcher the English language. I'm not sure about the rest of you, but the school I went to made sure I knew the difference between "to", "too", and "two", or "their", "they're", or "there" before I graduated. The people of this country grow more pathetic by the day. Nobody should wonder why we're failing to compete on an international stage when most of our citizens can't seem to properly compose a sentence.

There we go :)

Seriously, I find when people point out and or correct my grammar/spelling mistakes it annoys me. Not because I made the mistake, but because nobody likes to be corrected. I would say 90% of the people who make the there, their, they're or to, too, two mistake know the difference. It's just that most posts are very hastily written at best and rarely if ever edited before posting.

Some people need to get a life. Why someone would sit and point out grammar mistakes is beyond me. It's not like you did not know what he meant.I'm sure your not the best at your job,so don't knock other people because you do come here everyday to read things he puts up or writes.

I don't come here to read what he writes. I wish I didn't have to read what he writes. "Refreshen" is not a grammar mistake, the word flat out does not exist. You have to use real words to make a grammar mistake because otherwise you are not even speaking a language.

When your entire job is to write a one sentence title about an already conceived and written article it seems to me that it's not too much to ask that the title contain actual words.

For those of you who have not yet done so, do a search for all of the articles 009 has linked to. You will find that he has a long history of careless mistakes, misinformed statements, misleading headlines and foolish discussion topics.

I have enjoyed the Autospies website since well before 009 became an "official" contributor. If no one holds this website to higher standard then the quality of the site will continue to decline.

Ford had previously said they were dropping the Crown Vics/Town Car next year. We also know the next Focus will be based off the Euro version. So some of what they're announcing isn't completely unknown.
