2010 Hyundai Tucson Spotted in Sydney Austraila uncamo'ed
The Next Gen 2010 Hyundai Tucson/ix-35 was spotted a few days ago in Sydney’s Central Business District doing real world testing and Filming Hyundai TV Commercials. The 2010 Tucson sports Hyundai’s new Hexagonal “Signature” Grille featured on Concepts such as the: ix-onic, Veloster, and Arnejis. The Bottom Grille Mesh combines this new signature Hexagon with the “Klingon” look of the: Genesis Sedan, Accent Refresh, Portico, and Next Gen Sonata.

Features:
1. 1.6L 140 HP Direct Injection Engine that will also be shared with the 2011 Accent/Veloster. (Expect 34-37 MPG)

2. 2.4L 4 cyl Theta Engine also featured in the KIA Forte. (Expect 30 MPG)

3. Hyundai ISG (Idle, Stop and Go) System.

This new Hyundai “Eco Premium” CUV will feature a more upmarket interior with nothing changed from the ix-onic concept, except the Cream leather trim will be replaced. The seats will get cloth on the lower trim, leather and cloth on the mid trim, and full leather on the upper trim. The Dash will feature a Genesis Coupe like Blue Gauge cluster with Deep Dish Gauge pods, and metal wedge shaped air vents surrounded by the ‘Grille Shaped” center piece featuring: CD w/Navigation, Hyundai information System, and HVAC. Everything looks clean and conservative; also light years more advanced and upmarket than the outgoing Tucson.

This CUV will formally debut Next month at the Frankfurt Auto show.

Very distinctive front end... maybe too much so? The rest looks really good, and appears far more upscale than the current iteration. Shades of Infiniti's EX anyone?

why are most new companies making their grilles so huge? I think it's easier to have a big grille and even better, make it a signature as than you don't have to worry about designing 70% of the front end of all your models. Lazy designers.
anyway that car and design is big improvement from the Koreans, at least looking original, but i prefer simple design of current Tucson/Sportage.

Looks like what a Saturn VUE/ Opel Antera would look like in its next generation revamp. Of course the Saturn won't be available, but it will be interesting to compare the next Buick /Opel models to this design.

I don't what you r trying to say but Current Sportage is a re-skinned version of Hyundai Tucson. But Sportage nameplate is older, current Sportage is in it's third generation compare to Hyundai Tucson which is in it's first.
