Cadillac's First Turbo Application: 2010 SRX Turbo
The luxury crossover might end up becoming a symbol of the 'you-can-have-it-all' era recently brought to a stunning conclusion by the collapse of Lehman Brothers. They're vehicles that let you tower over most passenger cars on the road while giving you near-carlike ride and handling. They get fuel mileage that won't embarrass you, but won't give you anything to brag about, either. And their performance is good enough, at least, to rival many quotidian cars.

You won't wonder why you didn't buy, say, a Cadillac CTS Sports Wagon; rather, you'll figure you got yourself a utility crossover that superbly balances ride, handling, refinement and performance. Around a circuit like the Lutzring, setting the gearshift in sport mode and letting it upshift and downshift for you is the way to go. Sport mode also stiffens the suspension and tightens the steering ratio oh so slightly. The transmission always seems to find the right gear in which to downshift - second or third - at the right time, making your exit out of the turn as smooth as you could be.

Yes, the trend went from station wagons, to mini vans, to suvs, and now cuvs. By the time the general population finds out how hideous they are they will have already moved onto the next craze. (and if BMW has their say in it, the next craze just might be the 5gt and its future competitors)

As to my nature, I am a sports car enthusiast. I am not a van, truck, station wagon, or even a sedan enthusiast...

So if, you are married possibly with kids,9 I doubt and it I would guess, you are a high school or college student) how do you get the family around? Can everyone afford a stylish family "vahgan" that can burn down the autobahn or are they trying to be as stylish as fiscally possible and at the same time drop down from Suburban hell to sensible products that get more done with less. True your point of view is bias, but for the wrong reason. Most vehicles in this segment doesn't appeal to your sensibility because this isn't where your are, not that they products are bad or pointless. Sport cars are more trendy than this segment if you were to analyze it really.

You're right, I am not in the target demographic, but that doesn't make my point any less valid. Just because people need laundry machines and 7 passenger vehicles doesn't make them cool, fun, and or necessarily interesting.
