Strange... This looks little different than the MK-II that I once owned back in 2002 when I was stationed in Okinawa.

360 hps?? it better be rear wheel drive, otherwise it will be no sport sedan what so ever.

So let me understand this. This model is the replacement for the Camry or the ES model. Anything else is redundant.

When was Mark II and Mark X discontinued? They were always available in Japan and some other Asian countries.

btw 3.5 V6 360BHP engine sounds awesome.

the corona mark II used to be sold in the u.s. in the 1970s. i've owned both a corona hardtop coupe, and a corona mark II hardtop. (both were also sold as 4-dr sedans.)

the platform was the basis for the original celicas. and they were rear wheel drive.

The Mark X is still in production, and the 3.5 with supercharger is already being used in the crown athlete.

Apparently the first Mark came out in 1968 and was called the Corona Mark II because it was sold as an upscale version of the Corona. In 1972 the Mark II moved to a different chassis and the Corona part of the name was eventually dropped for overseas markets in 1984. US models obtained the Cressida name in 1976. The Cressida continued to be sold in the US from that time until 1992 when it was discontinued. In 2004 the Mark X nomenclature was adopted in Japan.
