Acura planning station-wagon TSX model
Station-wagons have become a hit with their respective target markets. Cadillac recently threw in their two cents into the segment with the new 2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon and Mercedes-Benz recently unveiled the 2010 E-Class Estate. However, luxury Japanese automakers seem to want to stay away from the segment… until now.

According to CARandDRIVER, Acura is considering a wagon version of the TSX.

“We’re closely, closely looking at it,” said senior manager...

It comes down to this.

Either they are bored or dont know what else to try to bring sales up.

Bring back an Integra/RSX entry level fwd with a k-series motor and the tuner boys will buy out lots.

Acura needs to re-design all their vehicles to be less nasty.

Bring it. Acura needs more products (5 cars won't cut it). TSX wagon, while not needed, will at least bring that client to the dealership for a look. More importantly though, BIG 7 SERIES SEDAN COMPETITIOR, a real COUPE with convertible option. Those are a MUST for Acura to even be thought of with the competition they want to be compared with. Acura is the only "luxury" company right not without a proper RWD or 2 door car, pathetic!
This TSX would be easy, slap a horrible grill on it, rebadge it, and send it here. Fine, do it, but Acura needs to focus on the REAL problems they are facing.

V-10 NSX (better late than never)

Another dumb move from a increasingly irrelevant company. Every Luxury make that offers a wagon in the U.S. struggle, at best, to sell them in miniscule numbers. Look a Lexus disastrous previous generation IS sportcross wagon I don’t know what’s going at Acura and there continual folly of errors. Is it a complete lack of understanding of the U.S. market or just automotive hubris.

The point is hardly anybody buys the 3er wagon, or the Audi A4 Avant and Mercedes doesn't even bother bring the "C" wagon to the U.S. I can't believe Cadillac is even bother with a non-exsistant market. America does not buy luxury wagons, the barely buys wagons at all. An Acura is a waste of time and marketing money.
