GMC planning Denali version of the Acadia crossover
Just like the other General Motor brands, GMC also had its own product announcement to make, albeit not as dramatic. GMC is considering a dressed-up Denali version of the Acadia crossover. No one was surprised since there had been a Denali version of the Acadia’s predecessor, the Envoy.

When asked whether an Acadia Denali would rival the Buick Enclave, Buick and GMC general manager Susan Docherty said that the target audience is different since the Acadia buyer is a decade older than the Enclave buyer. GMC showed off a small, boxy concept that looks like a slightly butcher version of boxy car/crossovers like the Honda Element and Scion xB.

will it have a V8? that would be the only option that would make a denali version (start to) make sense.

Was that supposed to say that the Acadia buyer is ten years younger than the Enclave buyer.

From what I can extract from GM, Denali models like any other manufacture is a high-line offering. Sill plates, unique center console, a unique combination of interior style and luxury, including standard nuance leather-covered front and rear seats, with heated, 12-way power-adjustable front seats, as well as leather trim throughout. A Denali-exclusive leather-wrapped steering wheel, which features wood grain accents and a host of auxiliary controls, is standard. Denali models also feature a unique center console, enhanced interior bright work and detailed, highly finished embossed sill plates that greet passengers when they open any of the Denali's doors. The unique center console has wood grain trim that conceals the lid and cupholder pockets, creating a more finished and refined appearance. In addition to a full complement of standard amenities, Denali offers exclusive features such as an available heated steering wheel. Interior colors include all-Ebony and an exclusive Cocoa/Light Cashmere combination.

Standard features include power-adjustable pedals, electrochromic (auto-dimming) inside mirror, dual-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing automatic windshield wipers, remote starting system, EZ Lift Tailgate and Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist. From an entertainment standpoint, Denali comes standard with an AM/FM MP3-capable radio with a six-disc in-dash CD changer, Bose premium 11 speaker sound system, rear-seat audio and XM Satellite Radio. Other several helpful and convenient options, including a navigation radio system, rear-view camera system, power sunroof, power-retractable assist steps) and a rear-seat, DVD-based entertainment system.

A buddy of mine has a Yukon Denali, about as close to a Caddy as you'll ever get without actually having one.
