Two dozen cars of all kinds - European grand tourers, American muscle cars, roadsters and sports cars, and, like the Lotus Elise, cars that defy categorization - are stabled on the club floor, so that it looks more like a showroom than a club. Prichinello owns the car, but it's not his alone. Driving rights belong to the 80-plus members of the club, each of whom pays a yearly stipend of as much as $10,500, plus initiation fee, for the pure pleasure of driving a classic automobile about 40 days a year.
While the costs aren't cheap, some members see a "car share" as the only way for an enthusiast to drive a vintage car in the Big City without the worries of theft, abominable insurance, abominable storage fees.
