Hyundail Official Rendering and Teasers Of 2010 Tucson
We've been seeing spy shots of the next generation Hyundai Tucson for several weeks, but we now have the first official teaser from the Korean automaker. The new Tucson and a refreshed Santa Fe will both debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month, and according to Hyundai spokesman Dan Bedore, the shot above was released from the home office in South Korea. Unfortunately, the badging shows two elements we won't be getting in North America: Hyundai has no current plans to offer a diesel in the Stateside Tucson, but on the upside, the automaker won't be spreading its alphanumeric nomenclature to U.S. shores with the European ix35 nameplate.

"on the upside, the automaker won't be spreading its alphanumeric nomenclature to U.S. shores with the European ix35 nameplate"

and if they did it would be a negative because...?

We all know Hyundai in fond of other carmakers designs, but this looks way too much like a Ford Kuga with a Hyundai badge.

Yeah, think you meant the Rogue, as Hyundai can't compete with the Murano or Nissan for that matter.

'PerformanceGuy' The Rouge is a Nissan car. So obviously they are going to be competing against it.

Looks like Hyundai ripped off the European look.

"I'm confused...."-huu76

No confusion here. The Tucson has Hyundai DNA a la the Veracruz and Santa Fe. There is no "Rogue" (a turdish sounding name for a set of wheels)or Murano or whatever in this design. The "Rogue" made its debut (late October 2007) well after the Santa Fe (redesigned 2007 model released April 2006) and aped the Santa Fe's shape right down to the tail gate.

This new redesigned Tucson 2.0 is a much better looking vehicle from the current vehicle it replaces and bears no resemblance to "Rogue" and thats a very good thing!
