General Motors Ramps Up Production To Address Dwindling Inventories
General Motors Co. is boosting production at several factories due to higher sales from the federal "cash for clunkers" program, company and union officials said.

The automaker has added Friday production at its plants in Orion Township and Lordstown, Ohio, which had been in production four days a week, GM spokesman Chris Lee said. Orion, which makes the Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 midsize sedans, will pick up a day of production on Aug. 28 while Lordstown, which makes the Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 small cars, added two days of production on Aug. 21 and Aug. 28.

"We are reviewing our production output with market demand as we do on a regular basis, which could result in some changes," Lee wrote in an e-mail. "I don't know yet what may or may not happen as a result."

yeah, ramp up production just in time for the money to run out. Genius plan. I don't see how it could fail.

Yep. They're going to be right back where they left off: too much iventory; too little interest; major depreciation.

General Morons still doesn't get it.
