Even though it just won Motor Trends 'Truck of the year' award (one of the best awards money can buy in our opinion, Honda would much rather have a sales success on their hands, than a golden caliper in a trophy case.

It's not a bad truck in our opinion, just ugly as all get out and a real stretch for the Honda brand.

Honda Ridgeline was just named "Truck of the Year" by Motor Trend magazine. No surprise here from my standpoint. The moment I saw the Ridgeline last year at the Detroit Auto Show I stated that this was the most significant new production vehicle at that show. I stand by that statement today.

Is it perfect? No, not by a long shot. But it has so many good and new features for a pickup, that if it didn't win, the award would have been a farce. I'm willing to bet that within five years we will see many so-called "established" trucks with some of the many unique Ridgeline features.
