Pontiac G8 Sport Truck to be revived in Australia
Expected to make US fans of the Pontiac G8 SS-V sedan overcome with dismay is the report that through Holden dealerships in Australia, customers will be able to purchase a Pontiac G8 SS-V sedan, including Wagon and Ute variants as well. To those who are unfamiliar, the SS-V is the equivalent trim level to the G8 GT.

‘Carsales’ claims that it had gotten hold of an internal Holden memo confirming this report. These Pontiac G8s will allegedly be offered as limited edition models. What’s the reason for the Australians’ stroke of luck? Simple. With a final run of G8s made specifically for the Australian market, Holden will be able to clean out some of the remaining Pontiac G8 part stock it currently has sitting around.

If GM would have brought over the wagon version, I would have definitely been a buyer. Instead I had to buy the sedan :)

I only lived in Australia for a year, but I hate those f*cking "utes." That's nothing new, Holden (and HSV) have had various utes along with ford. I'd much rather have an RS4 or RS6 avant.
