Preview: Mini Cooper Coupe Concept
It’s confirmed that at least one two-door Mini concept will be displayed at the Frankfurt Auto Show next month. Mini has two concepts in the works — a two-passenger coupe and an open-top speedster – but it is unknown which model will debut first. Both concepts are said to be based on Mini’s R57 platform. Incidentally, the production version of the Mini crossover will also debut in Frankfurt. It’s speculated that the company may bring along a two-seat concept to give the impression that a Mini is still all about having fun behind the wheel.

There's certainly promise here... Let's see how it's executed.

Kinda slick. The rear end sorta looks like what a mini-Bentley coupe might look like.

This isnt ruined this car is a step up from where mini is now. this will take them to the next level. I think this mini will heavily compete with the audi TT due to its resemblance but who knows. I think BMW could sell this car to the Masses being that there are plenty of mini enthusiast in america and europe this car will tak the mini/BMW company into orbit in my opinion. But I also wouldnt be suprised if BMW made their own audi TT competitor using whats based off this picture. Great job on this rendering BMW!!!

consider the current circumstances of economy, i think it is a good way to go as this will expend the current line up and maximize the sales number.
i can imagine lots of young people (especially female) would love this car over TT or 1 series coupe.

"It's confirmed"? Really? By who? The tooth fairy? I'd love to see this, but BMW's press release about the show talks about a lot of things, but a Mini concept isn't listed. This would be a swell surprise, but it's far from 'confirmed'.

Actually fold those rear seats down and the cargo hauling abilities of the Mini are great. I came to the rescue when my brother in law tried to buy a tv that would not fit in his Impreza sedan. They are also great for small children. As a Mini lover I like this one and would love to see it coupled with the all wheel drive system from crossover, the current S models have too much torque steer.

Little known fact is that the CEO's at Benz and BMW made a bet and BMW is now making stupid sloping roof versions of all their cars. The X6 was just the beginning.

Micro sized TT/370z? I like it. If it actually comes out, I might surely give one a look.

Ive always liked the mini for being different. These days they all look alike, maybe its just me. Most likely a good car but needs to keep its styling identity.
