That's not much surprising as that's as usuall Japanesse car owners are the most happiest with their cars.


But what about BMW,MB,Audi,GM how much they scored and what feelings they give in return to their owners.

Yes they give them prestige,class,heritage,proudness,legendery feel...etc

Surprising that MB and BMW has been rated average with all those problems but Volkswagen, Land Rover and Smart owners at the bottom of the list sounds about right to me.

How about a VW with air-cooled, oil leaking engines still being built in Mexico? You are saying that MB is suffering from quality problems because they are focused on turning Chrysler around?? You have got to be kidding me right? MB had a massive quality problems going back to late 90''s hello? Wayeee before acusition of soon to be bankrupt Chrysler. Also, Lexus and Infiniti is in the Luxury categories but Acura is categories in

(I agree) Probably due to the lower expectations from Japanese cars. Sure they are reliable, but are they fun to drive? do people even want to be seen in one? what about prestige and tradition? what is this survey really saying? which car is better? or what mood do we associate with each car?

If I were to chose car/mood than I would chose German/Average level of happines, but, I already know that I'm actually German/Happy as can be (until, of course Audi comes out with the R8).

What have you been smoking? In case you haven't noticed Audi Quattro is and always has been the tops AWD system in the world (for 25 years now). So good in fact that they are banned from rally racing becuase ther won so many consecutive races. Subaru didn't seem to contend.

And BTW, did you notice a couple of weeks back that the Audi A4 and A6 were the only double best safety picks in history?

Audi also just won Manufacturer of the Year.

Subaru makes good product for their market range, but to compare it marques out of their class makes you the foolish one.

Since you wanted to compare Subaru's GT model to the A4, then it would only seem to be fair to use the GT model of the A4 as well. That would be the RS4. The RS4 does zero to 60 in 4.8 seconds and zero to 125 in 16.6 seconds. Still wanna race? I suspect that the RS4 wouldn't need much more than about 3rd gear to deliver a death blow to the overmatched Subaru.

Subaru are one of the best cars today at the road.

You seem to be a little mixed up with crash testing scores. The IIHS has recently awarded the 2006 Subaru Legacy with the highest rating: GOLD. This is one of only FOUR vehicles that earned this award. The Audi A4 seems to recieve only a SILVER award, shared with SIX vehicles. The rear impact ratings are POOR and MARGINAL for the Audi, compared to the Subaru's GOOD.
