AUTO SPIES EXCLUSIVE: Want a Chevy HHR? good luck finding one

Dealers are reporting to the Spies that HHR's are in short supply due to the mess with hurricane Katrina.

Turns, out the trucks are there but GM is having a heck of a time getting them shipped around the country.

Most dealers in the western region are comletely sold out of HHR's and don't know when the next shipments will hit.

Enough with the retro styling! This strategy may bring a few dollars the first year but in the long term it makes no sense.

This approach also screams "We've run out of ideas, so, how about we take something from the past and tweek it here and there".

I would like to see similar comments one year from now, but, I doubt it will happen.

I can't stand the retro styling either. I really don't know what people see in it. Maybe because I'm still a bit young but I really don't like the designs from those times. Talk about UGGGGLLLLLYYYYY! I mean this is the future people, we've come along way, can't we think of new and innovative designs. That's why I can't stand domestic's, no imagination. The only prob is that toyota is coming out with that FJ Cruiser, and trying to hop on the retro bandwagon. Whatever, I just wish car manufacturer's would have more imagination.

I always wonder how it will be in like 50 years. Will we resort to the cars of this time? Well GM and Ford is going to have problems, because then they're cars will be looking 100 years old. Its like them designing a car now after the Model T, or something. Also, will anybody know elvis or john lennon? I hardly am fans of them, but I always hear people say how they've changed music so much.
