Most stolen car in the U.S. in 2008... 1994 Honda Accord
The National Insurance Crime Bureau has released its popular list of most stolen vehicles for the year 2008. The 1994 Honda Accord dethroned the 1995 Honda Civic as the most stole vehicle in the nation for last year, while the 1989 Toyota Camry came in at number 3.

“Although the final numbers have not yet been released, the preliminary 2008 FBI Uniform Crime Report shows that vehicle theft is on pace to a record decrease of 13.1 percent from 2007 numbers,” the NICB said in a statement. “That would make 2008 the fifth consecutive year of declining vehicle thefts.”

I think any old honda/acura will likely be stolen.

And I would add a 5th layer of protection:

Drive a stickshift!!

My uncles corolla was almost stolen. When the carjackers did tried to steal it, they couldn't start it because it was stick.

I remember back in the day when me and my friends were younger and into the whole "build a 10 sec hatch in our garage" phase,i knew a few kids that could steal these things in under 2 min. They would take them, gut them out and use the part and wheels. People would have alarms, fuel cut off switches, passwords, special ignition set ups, removable steering wheels and nothing could stop people from being able to steal them.Kids would sell cars, wait a week or until the new buyer threw in a turbo setup or motor swap and steal the cars back lol.

I'm not suprised. Though I can't understand why. I can't stand these Accords. Worst looking ones ever built. Not paragons of reliability either, because this mdoel was where the major transmission troubles started.

Why are they stealing these cars you wonder? I am in the market here of buying older model Japanese cars and sending them over to 3rd world countries. Now I dont know specifically who steals and ships them but its only logical because this Honda Accord, Lexus and Toyota Camry's make really easy money over seas. Even ones with fender benders sell like hot cakes. That is where all of these cars are going and that is why they can never be found anymore. As for all the little ricer cars (dont be offended because Im Asian also) kids steal those things.
