Audi wins manufacturer of the year

Audi has been declared Manufacturer of the Year 2005 by the Midland Group of Motoring Writers. The German car maker took the award by a single point from Honda, while Renault, winner of the award last year, came third. In bottom place was Proton.

The award is voted for by more than 30 members of the Midland Group of Motoring Writers. Instead of choosing an individual car of the year, members are asked to award points to each company in six specific critera - advertising, design, safety, quality, customer care and green credentials.

Innovation is in the air, I agree.

My only criticism is that it should not take soooooo long to transition from Concept to Production. It's time to be innovative within management (new product approval, funding, etc).
