Review: Jaguar XJ Vanden Plas

If visions of sugar plums aren't exactly your idea of grown-up Christmas reverie, I have a lovely alternative for you -- the 2006 Jaguar XJ Vanden Plas.

This is a dream of a luxury car if ever there were one. And with a base price of $74,995, it's going to stay a dream for most of us!

Standard features are formidable: 18-inch alloy wheels; burl walnut veneers with Peruvian boxwood inlay; soft-grained leather seating with contrast piping; 16-way power front seats; DVD-based satellite navigation system; tire pressure monitoring system; chrome mesh grille inserts ... whew, there's more, but it's time to move on.
