VW Unveils Polo 3-Door Ahead Of Frankfurt Show, Bluemotion Returns 71.2 mpg!
VW designs are arguably one of the best in the industry. The Polo doesn't disappoint with its teutonic style. Clean, progressive and bold without being gimmicky is what VW is known for.

The three-door version of the new Volkswagen Polo supermini has been officially revealed ahead of its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. We've only got the photos to go by, but the German automaker says that the more pronounced kink in the rear window gives the 3-door model a more aggressive stance than the five-door version making the new member of the Polo family appear lower and wider than it really is.

Other than that, there are no differences between the two models as the body dimensions of the three and five-door versions are identical with a length of 3,970 mm, width of 1,682 mm and height of 1,485 mm. The same applies to the interior space and cargo capacities (280 to 952 liters).

Cute, but I wouldn't go as far as saying VW designs are one of the best in the industry.

an opinion, but VW is one of the best selling brands in Europe. But I feel that way about Audi, and if everyone liked their design they would be on top. Design is subjective.

When it comes to mainstream brands I feel that VW, Honda, Mazda and Citroen have some of the best designs out there.

Bluemotion = slowmotion. I bet even those who sing praises about this "breakthrough" will not buy the car if it ever comes to the US, when they actually get to experience the pleasure of doing 0-65 in forever in this car. Or maybe they still will. It does have a German badge on it after all.

And then it doesn't get nearly the gas mileage that the 1.2/1.4 slowmotion versions get. So what's your point?
