2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 canceled
All of you know that the 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee was introduced back in March at the New York Auto Show and its debut made quite a buzz. But, for all the fans today we have a bad news! Talking with our insider we found out that the American manufacturer decided to cancel the new version of the Grand Cherokee SRT! Why? Well, it’s simple to explain: in this hard financial period, who wants a SUV with a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine? Of course, protecting the environment is also a reason that Chrysler decided to cancel the model.

Confusing article.

Are they refering to the next-gen (ML-based) SRT8? I thought that was introduced during the NYIAS last March. And the next-gen model would be MY2011, right?

Also, the SRT8 uses the 6.1L version of the Hemi engine, not the 5.7L version.

For such a short article, its got a bunch of holes in it.

This is smart decision. If only they had made decisions like this from the start. Put some 4 cylinders and diesels in all the products, and quit using cheap interior materials. Maybe things will turn around.

Since when was the SRT-8 a 5.7?
It has always been a 6.1L in my book. I wonder what else this author is the expert on?

It looked good, sounded better. The wheels were very good looking. But a pushrod is not good! I would expect more of this to happen in the near term andbeyond.

I thought this was a great looking SUV as well, especially for the price and performance. I don't have one but I certainly wouldn't mind owning one that's for sure!

Good looking muscular sports truck. However it always gets out-classed by the ML63 and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Then again look the price difference.
