AUTOSPIES EXCLUSIVE: First in-person pics of the 2007 S-class-Exterior

If you're a car fan you're probably already planning on stopping at your local Mercedes dealer to see the new S550.

We got a look this morning and like we told you when we saw the car for the first time over two years ago, it's one impresive design.

You will be blown away when you see it in person.

What presence!

In our opinion, it makes the 7, A8, LS (current), Phaeton, Jag, Q45, etc. look very very dated and tired.

For now, enjoy the pics...more to come

Special thanks to Mercedes-Benz of San Diego for allowing us to photograph the car

looks good, needs a little bit better wheel selection though, those look rather bland with that package.

I agree Phantom.

The car looks very old-man with those rims (which works for some)

But when the car has the $4000 AMG Sport package. Now that works for me.

19-inch fat 5-spokes fill the wheel wells very nicely.

But in general, all Luxury car brands need to start adding more eye catching sizes and rim designs to their cars.

If you can get 18's on a Chevy Cobalt, then BMW, BENZ and AUDI need to upgrade. Have you guys seen what a base 525i or base Audi A4/A6 wear these days. Pathetic. (16's)

I guess that makes opting for the sport package that much more important.

The Mercedes copies the BMW 745 in several ways:

1. I-Drive
2. Rear trunk deck
3. Drive stalk
Probably other things too.

Given these facts, I will buy the S550 as soon as I can get my hands on one. I loved the cutting edge design of the 2002 745 (I owned one!) It looks like Merc let BMW break new ground (be the guinea pig) on new and exciting things then they improved them for their car. The Merc looks like they have a winner on their hands. (until the new LS and next gen 7!)

This car is just amazing. Those who don't have one are just jealous...Sorry, but thatS the truth...

Those who come up with Infiniti Rubbish, no chance against a S-Class and I think the owners and even Infiniti knows that!
