2009 Frankfurt Motor Show: Video Tour Of The BMW Vision EfficientDynamics- Coolest BMW In History?
I remember how I felt when I first saw the Audi R8...it REALLY blew me away.

It was fresh and different and I immediately said to myself it was a winner.

Well, I feel the same way about this new BMW concept, coming to the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Check out this great video tour of this groundbreaking vehicle.

Conceived as a 2+2-seater with plug-in full-hybrid technology, this unique car is able to combine the performance of a BMW M Car with a standard of fuel economy and emission management exceeding even the current level achieved by the latest small cars in the market. This outstanding result is made possible by the consistent integration of BMW ActiveHybrid components, their combination with an extremely economical combustion engine, and the outstanding aerodynamic qualities of the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept car.

Someone has to pave the way to the future, and this appears to be quite a large step in the right direction...

You got a problem? lol jk
Let's just hope it's not slow just to be efficient - or only efficient when driven carefully. (I didn't read the press :P )

Looks to me like R8 meets 6-Series, has sex and produces an even more beautiful child.

I dont see the R8 at all in this design. it looks like a ground up piece of art work they put together. I do see the 6 series a little but we all know a car this extravagant in design will not come out but it shows you the future of bmw design and engineering

What I find interesting is that this isn't the BMW concept that was posted a couple weeks ago like I thought it was at first. You know, the one that was under shrink wrap. They have a very similar shape however. So if anything this concept only makes me more curious as to what is under that shrink wrap.

Very nice! VERY original. The "flow-through" rear fenders are awesome. Its about time someone did something new in vehicle desigh.

it's up there with the millennium falcon and Gandalf the grey in terms of "coolness". Please, this thing is pure fantasy.

Sad to see BMW breath new life into hybrid technology. Putting TWO drivetrains in a vehicle does not make sense. Weight, Cost, Packaging - all are compromised.

The Germans undoubtedly can make a bad idea work much better than the Toyotas of the world, but we really need to move past hybrids...
